Hold your staff retreat in exotic Kenya School of the Savannah Peace and Leadership Centre. The Masai Mara, the Centre's home, is Africa's richest wildlife reserve and home to the Big Five: elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard. It also hosts the world's greatest migration of zebra and wildebeest, with millions of animals crossing from Tanzania's Serengeti to the Kenyan Mara, and back, between the months of June and October.
Volunteering with the local community is guaranteed to be the highlight of your trip. You will have the opportunity to build a school with your own hands and teach English to the children. Working with the local community will strengthen bonds between team members and bring you closer together than ever. The retreat is eye opening, educational, and will leave you knowing you have made a difference in the world.
Sleep in rugged luxury in the Centre's beautiful 4 bed tents. The Centre can host as many as 28 people. The experience includes three meals a day prepared by a 5-star chef. You will have full access to a skilled country guide and the Leadership Centre including its open air meeting room.
Helping the Community
Working locally, Free The Children partner with Maasai and Kipsigis communities to create opportunities that break the cycle of poverty. New schools are built every year. In need of a educational facilities, a village sets aside land and invites international volunteers (that's where you come in!) to lend their hands to the tasks of digging a foundation, building walls, and raising a roof, leaving behind a place of learning and hope that will serve local children for years to come.
